The purpose of this summer research scholarship is to provide highly motivated students with opportunity to experience research in artificial intelligence and medical imaging. The student will be introduced to the AI-based Prostate Cancer grading and prediction project. This summer project will involve Data curation, data pre-processing and statistical data analysis.
Candidates with a related background (e.g. Image Analysis, Computer Science, ICT and Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics) are invited to apply.
Programming skills in Python, Matlab or R is essential.
Knowledge in machine learning/deep learning and medical images is beneficial.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr Gobert Lee and Dr Mariusz Bajger and must be able to work as part of the group. Collaboration with clinical and industrial partners will be required.
