The Weise Foundation was established to provide training, mentorship and financial assistance to those in need and also supports a variety of other charitable causes. One of main aims of The Weise Foundation is to assist undergraduate students pursuing higher education across Australia and hopefully, in future, create a domestic and international professional alumni network of former scholarship recipients.
Applicants for the Scholarship must:
• be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate course at Flinders University; and
• be in their second or subsequent year of studies; and
• have a minimum GPA of 5.0; and
• be in receipt of a means-tested Commonwealth Income Support payment or be able to demonstrate financial hardship; and
• be able to demonstrate difficult circumstances that have a financial impact on their studies; and
• be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder or Temporary Protection Visa holder.
Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g., disabilities, carer responsibilities).
The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Scholarship selection will be made in accordance with approved University procedures. Preference may be given to Australian Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students, single parents, or refugees (on Permanent Humanitarian or Temporary Protection visas).
Previous recipients may reapply, but preference may be given to students who have not received this previously.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System by the specified closing date. Indigenous students should complete and provide the Proof of Indigeneity attached below. Please read the how to apply page and ensure all of your personal details are up-to-date in the Student System as you will be assessed using this information.
