My research explores the social and cultural factors that influence women's decisions to undergo cosmetic genital surgery. Although my research topic could be considered somewhat controversial, this has never been an issue at Flinders. Flinders is known for its progressive and innovative stance on research and I feel fortunate to be a part of the research experience here. I know that the skills I will develop during my PhD experience at Flinders will help me in making a significant contribution in both the research and treatment of mental health.
