Flinders University recognised the milestone of 30 years of Palliative Care education, research and programs at the Alere Function Centre on Thursday 11 July 2024.
MC’d by Associate Professor Deidre Morgan, Flinders University Academic Lead Palliative and End of Life Care, attendees were welcomed to the event by Professor Alison Kitson, Vice-President Executive Dean College of Nursing and Health Sciences and heard from inspirational and insightful guest speakers Kate Swetenham, Director of Nursing, End of Life Care, SA Health; Melissa Cumming, Director Cancer and Palliative Care Services, Far West Local Health District, NSW; Celia Marston, Clinical Lead, Occupational Therapy, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Consumer Representative, Meg Brasil.
Following the presentations, guests celebrated and reconnected with fellow alumni and industry professionals over canapes and drinks service.
