The 50 Years of Flinders Drama Centre cocktail reception was held at Flinders City Campus on Friday 15 November.
Graduate and Drama Centre Manager Dr Christopher Hurrell (BA(Drama)(Drama Performance) ’01, BA(Hons) (Drama Performance) ’01) welcomed guests, who heard from graduates Connor Pullinger (BCreatArts(Drama) ’22, BCreatArts(Hons) ’23), and Eliza Barnes (AssocDegArts ’22) about experiences of their training at the Drama Centre, and the profound impact their time at the Drama Centre has had on them personally and professionally. A vote of thanks was given by Glen McGillivray (BA(Hons) ’89) who also shared memories of his time at the Drama Centre.
Third Year Drama students Shardae Santos, Ariel Džino, Rohan Becker, Isiah Macaspac, Hannah McGrath and Mantra Bhatt were joined by Tom Considine, Victoria Nicolls (BA(Hons) ’77), Amber McMahon (BA(Drama)(Drama Performance) ’01, BA(Hons)(Drama Performance) ’02) and Ashton Malcolm (BCreatArts(Drama Performance) ’09, BCreatArts(Hons)(Drama) ’10) to perform the fun and highly entertaining prologue of the 2024 Third Year Drama production, The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui.
