UK Alumni and Friends Summer Reception

Mr John Hood, Chancellor, Flinders University together with South Australia's Agent General, The Hon David Ridgway were pleased to host Flinders UK-based alumni and friends on Wednesday evening, 17 July 2024 at the UK Alumni and Friends Summer Reception.

Special guest speaker and Flinders graduate, Dr Brendan Nelson AO, President, Boeing Global gave an insightful talk while guests enjoyed light refreshments and drinks at the host venue, Australia House, London.

The reception followed the reinterment of Captain Matthew Flinders (1774-1814) in Donington, Lincolnshire on Saturday 13 July. Members of the Flinders University community were honoured to attend this historical occasion of our namesake.

We hope our UK-based alumni and friends enjoyed this special opportunity to reconnect with each other, build new relationships and be inspired by the latest developments of Flinders University.
