When I was younger, I desired to be a flight attendant after watching the TV series called Triumph in the Skies. However, watching my father work as a Physiotherapist, I got inspired to work within a similar field.
Working with kids is one of my occupational intentions, so I spend a lot of my time at the Family Weekends Organisation to play with kids in the school yard. Doing some volunteering work for autism in Canada, I gained intense sympathy towards people with autism, which strengthened my desire to help them minimise their difficulties in communication and social interaction.
The Flinders Vice-Chancellor Scholarship holds a lot of meaning for me. Not only as motivation to to strive in my studies, it will help me to contribute to the national development of this professional occupation in the future.
The scholarship allows me to pursue my passion at Flinders University, one of the very few universities in Australia that offers this comprehensive degree for international students.
Australia has a great education system, as well as modern and high-tech facilities which attracts many international students. Australia is one of the most developed countries in the world about biological studies and I found the Speech Pathology course is remarkable in Adelaide.
With an increasing demand for Speech Pathologists in Vietnam, Flinders and Australia was the right choice for me professionally.
Outside of studying I enjoy doing acrylic painting, it helps me relax and renew my energy. I am also passionate about active sports such as badminton and swimming.
The Story of a Seagull and the Cat Who Taught Her to Fly, by Luis Sepulveda.
If I could have one superhero power, it would be Healing, because I desire to help people – be it physically or mentally. In addition, I could also help heal animals!
