I am driven by creativity, discipline, and passion, and inspired by the people in my life, the art I consume, and the beauty of mundane existence.

I have many sources of motivation in life from my friends and family, my personal drive for success and achievement, as well as a desire to learn, grow and improve every day. 

The Flinders VC Scholarship has given me the opportunity to pursue the creative career I have always dreamed of. There are not many opportunities to study film in Sri Lanka, so I am very grateful for this chance to strive towards and achieve the goals I have set myself. 

Why study in Australia? 

I chose Australia as my study destination as I had always heard positive things from other students who have studied here, from its rich diversity to the high quality of education offered here. 

My favourite things about studying in Adelaide so far are the multi-cultural environment and the wide variety of restaurants and cuisines to try out.

What are your career aspirations? 

My career aspirations are in production design. I have always been drawn to the visual storytelling aspects of film, from the costuming down to the sets and how much those details add to the overall production value of a film.
