Well-prepared applications are considered favourably, so before submitting your online application either directly or through an agent, make sure you have all your required documentation in order.
We strongly recommend you apply as early as possible (no later than 12 weeks before your intended start date) to allow time for the pre-visa assessment process as well as for scholarship deadlines, if applicable. Visa processing times depend upon a range of factors.
Applicants for the Higher Degree by Research Annual Scholarship Round - International will be notified of the outcome of both candidature and scholarship application at the same time. You must provide evidence that you meet all specified eligibility criteria at the time of application.
Citizens of some countries must apply through an Education Agent. You will be notified if this is the case when you register to apply for a course.
Confirm your eligibility – you will only be considered if you can show you meet all the eligibility criteria. Check the 'Admission requirements' for your chosen HDR course. Evidence of academic, Genuine Student and English language requirements must be included in your application. Confirm an academic staff member has agreed to supervise your HDR project: save a confirmation email or letter from the proposed supervisor as a single file entitled ‘(YOUR SURNAME) Supervisor confirmation’
Confirm any additional requirements for your application. Review the course rule and course information page to confirm what is needed.
Please note: Applicants must upload supporting documentation to their online application in any of the following file formats: JPEG, DOC, DOCX, or PDF. Mobile phone photos of documents will not be accepted.
