Get future-ready from Day 1

From Day 1 of your studies, you'll start getting some skin in the employment game. You’ll begin developing in-demand industry skills, building professional networks, and discovering what it's like to take your passion into the workplace.

At Flinders, you’ll have the opportunity to do Work Integrated Learning (WIL) or an industry placement. This gives you real industry experience to increase your chance of success when you hit the job market. Because WIL is integrated into your studies, you’ll gain workplace experience and credit towards your degree at the same time.

If you’re wondering what a work placement is... well, it could be an internship, a clinical placement, field education, or a vocational/professional practice. Or you might end up working on an exciting industry project with a business or community organisation.

We've designed an Employability Roadmap just for you. It's a step-by-step guide that shows exactly how we prepare you for the real world of work.

Mapped to the timeline of your undergraduate business degree, the Roadmap takes you on an experience-rich journey towards employability.

So, what’s involved? You’ll take part in career workshops and activities within the Flinders Horizon Award. You’ll get access to a range of useful online resources. And while you’re at it, you’ll create an impressive resume, grow your industry networks, and gain experience to help you ace interviews after graduation.
