An undergraduate degree is your first degree at university and may include Honours.
There are a number of ways that you can gain entry into an undergraduate degree. The course pages list all entry requirements for each degree.
Admission to all courses is limited by quota and is normally based on academic merit as determined by assessment of an applicant’s qualifications. There is more than one way to begin your university journey.
View our admission pathways page for more details.
All our courses list indicative fees. Your undergraduate course is Commonwealth-supported.
You can get a HECS-HELP loan for your student contribution portion of your loan.

There are two admissions intakes for undergraduate degrees:
March intake (semester 1):
Applications open in August for commencement the following year. All courses are open for applications.
Midyear intake (semester 2):
Applications open in August for commencement in July the following year. Not all courses are offered.

All applications for undergraduate courses are submitted through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).
Visit the SATAC website to see all key application dates.
If you have previously studied at Flinders or are a current student wishing to transfer to another undergraduate degree visit:

SATAC will notify you of an offer on behalf of Flinders University by emailing the offer letter. Offers will be made to the highest preference for which you are both eligible and sufficiently competitive.
To accept your offer, follow the instructions provided in your offer email.
Soon after receiving your offer, you will receive an enrolment information which will outline everything you need to know about enrolling for your studies.
Go to Enrolling @ Flinders for more information.
Orientation, or O Week, is your transition to university. We’ll help you settle in, find your way around and discover what’s available academically and socially.
Orientation week begins the week before university starts. For our July intake, Orientation week runs in the same week as week 1 to help smoothen your transition
If you want to change your preference, you can update your application via SATAC.
If you are unsure about your next steps, talk to us about your study options.
All our courses list indicative fees but as an undergraduate student your course is Commonwealth supported provided you’re an eligible Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
Your course being Commonwealth supported means that your course fees are shared between the Australian government and you – with your portion being the student contribution amount.
Students can access various types of financial assistance to help cover their costs.
Flinders offers a wide-range of scholarships to new and continuing students.
We also offer scholarships to students experiencing financial difficulties if financial need and academic merit can be demonstrated.
The Commonwealth Government provides financial assistance and grants to eligible students.
If you do not wish to commence studying straight away, you may be eligible to have your offer deferred for a full calendar year of study. Flinders can hold your place in a deferrable course for up to two consecutive years.
Alternatively, if you are finding the transition to university challenging, you may want to seek additional support before making the decision to defer. We offer a range of activities and services that can provide you with this support.
