March 25, 2021 marked Flinders University’s 55th birthday. On that day in 1966, the Queen Mother popped on a cool tea cosy hat and opened South Australia’s second higher education institution.

On the 25th of March 1966, Flinders University was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mothe

Since then, we’ve gone from 400 students enrolling in 10 courses, to more than 500 undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees and over 126,000 students and alumni.

Flinders Bedford Park sits on 165 hectares of land in a stunning natural setting, overlooking both the city and the sea. The new Flinders Railway Line links Bedford Park to Flinders' Tonsley campus and the CBD, home of our Victoria Square campus. The new line affords students a quick and easy trip from the CBD to Bedford Park in just 22 minutes.
