Demand for qualified professionals to work across a range of industries is growing due to our increasing ageing population. Potential employment opportunities can be found in policy, local, state and federal government, education, research, service provision, consulting, and the private sector. Take the first step of your career in this exciting and constantly evolving field.
Participants gain a University Certificate which is AQF Accredited.
The program also provides a pathway of credit into the Bachelor of Health Sciences program’s Ageing specialisation for participants who wish to pursue further study in the future.
You will gain solid foundational study skills and knowledge needed to flourish in a career in ageing. You will investigate your own beliefs about ageing and older adults and how attitudes and language can influence the experience of ageing.
You will also explore mental health and psychological wellbeing in later life and will have the option of delving further into the experiences of dementia or contemporary approaches to aged care.
