Pursuing a career in Medicine is an exciting journey

Students studying at Flinders University can take advantage of flexible graduate entry pathways to Medicine, or other Health programs.

These pathways look to provide:

another option into Flinders, if you don’t get the ATAR needed for the course you want to study.
reserved places, which give you a greater opportunity gaining a place in your chosen degree; or
the opportunity to study the pre-requisite topics which you need to apply for a place at second or third year level in your chosen degree.

Reserved places

Pathway to graduate entry Medicine

Flinders has more opportunities for students to study graduate entry Medicine.

Up to 75 % of places are for Flinders graduates including:

a maximum of 30% of places reserved for students who complete the Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Paramedicine or the Bachelor of Public Health.
a maximum of 45% of places for graduates of any other Flinders Bachelor or higher level course.

Pathway to Health professional programs

Places are reserved in a number of professional programs for graduates of Bachelor of Health Sciences and the Bachelor of Medical Science. These reserved places will give you a greater opportunity to gain a postgraduate place in the following fields of study:

Audiology (up to 4 reserved places)
Speech Pathology (up to 4 reserved places).
Nutrition and Dietetics

Pathway to graduate entry for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students

Flinders has more opportunities for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to study graduate entry Medicine via the Indigenous Entry Stream (IES). Places are reserved in the Doctor of Medicine and Northern Territory Medical Program for applicants of the Indigenous Entry Stream.

Undergraduate transfer

The Bachelor of Health Sciences or the Bachelor of Medical Science can provide you with the opportunity to study all of the topics required to apply for a place in the second or third year of your chosen degree.
