Postgraduate micro-credential entry requirements: Undergraduate degree in social sciences, education, humanities, health, nursing, or other relevant discipline as approved by Flinders University

Learning outcomes

Examine evidence-based theories of mental health and wellbeing, distinguishing between approaches that support mental health versus those that only address mental illness.
Can analyse complex dynamics that shape mental health and wellbeing in workplaces and communities understanding the interaction of person factors (e.g. biology, genetics, habits, thinking, needs), and organisational factors (e.g. workplace demands or resources, job design, social interactions, systems, culture).
Apply an understanding of mental health and wellbeing to evaluate and develop approaches to support mentally healthy workplaces or communities at both an interpersonal and broader strategic level.
Develop ways of communicating principles of mental health and wellbeing to diverse audiences.
