The Certificate in Developing and Leading Virtual Healthcare Services equips health professionals with future-focused leadership and digital skills. Designed for busy practitioners, this online course explores virtual care innovations, co-design principles, and strategic healthcare management. Gain critical insights and skills to lead in a growing field while accessing pathways to advanced study in digital health and health administration.
Explore the principles of virtual healthcare, innovation, and co-design. Develop leadership and management skills tailored to implementing and sustaining virtual health services. Topics include strategic decision-making, patient centred virtual care models, health service governance, and effective communication in digital health settings.
The microcredential comprises two existing topics:
Both of these topics are part of Flinders University’s Master of Health Administration (Business Analytics) and Graduate Certificate in Digital Health Management.
Each assessment not only tests theoretical understanding but also the practical application of skills in virtual healthcare. Criteria and standards for each assessment are shared and discussed with students in advance, along with grading rubrics for every activity.
To qualify for the Professional Certificate in Data Analytics and business Intelligence microcredential, a student must complete 9 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below.

Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. Admission may also be granted based on prior work experience. This will usually include 1 year of relevant work experience in a related field or 2 years of relevant work experience in a non-related field.
