Business analytics is the practice of using data and statistical methods to gain insights and make informed decisions in a business setting. Every business collects data, whether it's sales data, customer feedback, website traffic, player performance, etc.
A business analytics degree is not significantly harder or easier than most others. An occasional challenge in Business Analytics programs is being exposed to unfamiliar areas of study. The field combines statistics, tech, programming, and business studies. Not many students have expertise in all these areas.
Business Analysts are not involved in coding or programming; programmers are responsible for it. Business Analysts work on functional testing, requirements development, and management.
Maths is crucial in business analytics because the close relationship between business analytics and mathematics is what helps an analyst to excel in this realm. A robust understanding of mathematical foundations like probability and statistics are important to understand and analyse large data sets.
