In the first three years you will complete the Bachelor of Arts. You can choose from study areas including: Applied Linguistics, Australian Studies, Creative Writing, Drama, English, French, Geography and Environmental Studies, History, Indonesian, International Relations, Italian, Modern Greek, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology (extended major), Screen and Media, Sociology, Spanish, Visual Arts and Women’s Studies. Minor sequences are also available.
On completing the Bachelor of Arts program to a required standard, you will be eligible to progress directly to the Master of Teaching (Primary) degree. The Master of Teaching is a pre-service teaching degree. This course provides you with the background necessary to apply for registration as primary teachers. Topics covered include education studies, curriculum studies, and professional experience in schools. A languages strand is available to students who wish to teach languages.
