Designed for high-achieving students to meet their full potential, the advanced leadership degree can be taken on its own or in any of the six Bachelor of Business specialisations (human resource management, innovation and enterprise, international business, management, marketing or sport management), and is designed for students demonstrating potential to attain leadership skills and work-relevant experience to make them of distinct value to employers.

The advanced nature of these degrees is encapsulated by a guaranteed industry placement, a research/project topic, participation in a student conference, and individual mentoring.

What you will study

The Bachelor of Business (Advanced Leadership) is a program for High Achieving students that provides undergraduates with Leadership Skills and work-relevant experience to make them of distinct value to employers. It requires three years of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time) and the honours program an additional year (or the equivalent part-time).

Students will choose to apply for either the Bachelor of Business (Advanced Leadership) or in one of the following named specialisations:

The degree provides you with practical experience that prepares you for the workforce.

Participate in an interactive peer review assessment that enables you to collaborate with your peers by applying different theoretical approaches to a broad range of Australian businesses.
Participate in Work-Integrated Learning and industry placement programs.
Immerse yourself in live industry projects with the New Venture Institute and engage with business in a real-world environment.
Participate in compulsory industry placements, business leadership conferences and professional development in the advanced leadership degree.

Study abroad

Flinders has a series of international exchange links that give you a chance to study part of your degree overseas, including a short-term three-week study tour to a yearlong exchange at any one of 80 partner universities around the world.

English language pathways

If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through Flinders University Academy – or our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers.

This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.
