As part of our commitment to clinical health supervisors in the Northern Territory, Flinders offers a range of opportunities for rural health supervisors to ensure you are well supported when you take on a student placement.

Our Flinders University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) team can offer you assistance with:

Local knowledge and contacts to help you develop placement opportunities
Access to health professionals, academics and support staff with experience working and living in the NT

Professional Development

Clinical Supervision Workshops

These workshops allow you to expand your theoretical knowledge and practical skills in workplace-based clinical supervision.

Facilitators will help you contextualize your learning and promote discussion of issues that enhance your confidence as an effective clinical supervisor. Workshops are available face-to-face in Darwin, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs throughout the year. Find out more >

Peer Support Strategies for Supervisors

We believe in nurturing health care professionals and have many resources available for supervisors to work collaboratively with peers to increase confidence in, and quality of, workplace supervision from Prideaux Health Professions Education. Find out more >

Remote Health Practice Program

The postgraduate Remote Health Practice program aims to meet the higher education needs of health professionals working in remote areas and supports the transition to remote practice for those who have an interest in joining the remote health workforce.
